DIA SET TO MOVE FORWARD WITH NEW SECURITY MEASURES

The Dimension Investigation Agency is set to move forward with a rollout of “new security measures” across the dream world.

According to an internal memo obtained by the Tribune, the agency will soon begin installing surveillance cameras across the dream world in its latest attempt to try and catch Lucid. The surveillance cameras are property of the agency itself so legal issues about using private property cameras will not be a concern. The cameras themselves will not be widespread, however, but will begin on a “small scale” before possibly rolling out on a larger scale to much of the rural dream world.

“The chief detective remains focused on attempting to find and capture Lucid, who as you know, is the most wanted criminal in the dream world right now,” DIA spokesperson Kristofer Levy told the press earlier this week, “This new attempt will be beneficial for the overall security of the dream world.”

The DIA argues that the installation of these cameras will also aid in general crime across the dream world. Aside from being a tool to catch Lucid, the agency hopes it will help deter crime in the most rural areas where peculiar crimes may be committed and go under the radar.

“As you know, crime in the overall dream world is down under chief Sylveran’s leadership but it can still happen. Many times, there are crimes committed in the very remote areas of the dream world that fly under our radar because of how rural the area is,” Levy explained, “Installing these surveillance cameras will allow us to have eyes and ears even in the most lonely places out there. We’re on a mission to both find Lucid and keep everyone safe.”

The cameras are equipped with both video and audio recording and will soon be installed in some areas of the dream world. No further information has been provided by the DIA about how the cameras themselves will function but they promise to release more information in the weeks to come. This is a developing story. CAL’S MAZE OF CORN RETURNS FOR VISITORS

For those looking for something fun to do before things officially get spooky in the dream world, look no further…

Farmer Cal’s corn maze is back open to the public and he’s inviting everyone to come check it out in person. The maze itself has for years been a tale of mystery and curiosity. It was not known as to what was inside the maze itself, though Cal himself is insisting people come check it out nonetheless.

“I’m askin’ everyone to come on down and visit the maze of corn!” Cal told the Tribune, “The young, the elderly, and those who think they’re better than us ‘cause they’re in the middle, I want y’all to come down and see what lurks in the mysterious maze!”

We interviewed a few people who arrived at Cal’s patch who intended to head into the maze to hear their thoughts of what to expect.

“I’m heading in to see what all this noise about Cal’s maze is about,” Carmen, a resident from the America ward told me, “My friend’s been in here a couple times but has yet to reach the end. I wanna know the truth about what's in there!”

“I was here last year so I already know what’s in the maze but I won’t spoil anything!” Escorzi of the Hotel told me, “I just wanna go in to see if I remember the way to the end well. Knowing me, it’ll probably take me a while though…”

“I heard he has something pretty big at the end of the maze so I want to see for myself,” Gonzalo of the Apartments told me, “I love surprises so I hope there’s a nice surprise at the end!”

Cal says that his maze will be open to the public through the rest of the autumn season. While everyone is welcome inside, he does insist on also stopping by and picking out pumpkins from his patch while there.

“Don’t forget to pick up some pumpkins from my patch, ya hear?” Cal told the Tribune, “The maze is fun but these pumpkins are the real prize. Go on, pick some!”

Cal’s maze is open to the public until November 30. Visitors can expect moderate foot traffic in and around the area until then.

Dear Nate, do you have any siblings?

Hi Fammy! Well, that’s an interesting question! Haha, uh, you see it’s not something that I necessarily talk about, but it’s also not something that I’m afraid to talk about. To put it simply, I do. I only have one other sibling and he’s my older brother. We all call him “V” which is what his actual name starts with. I don’t really talk about him… Not that I’m on bad terms with him or anything— no, nothing like that! In fact, he is a pretty good person! I keep in touch with him every now and then, but he lives a pretty quiet and isolated life.

V is actually an author who writes novels! He likes to write mystery, historical fiction, and young adult novels. They’re pretty interesting as I’ve read all of them! The thing is, V has always been a bit to himself. He’s not all a bad person nor does he keep me away on purpose, he just likes being left to himself. Regardless, he has his own home and career. I don’t talk about him much because well, there’s not much to say. He keeps it slow and easy going, but we chat every now and then.

V actually lives in the rural dream world. For privacy reasons, I won’t say where, but like I said, he likes being away from the hustle and bustle of the District. I visit him every few months in person, at least when he’s not busy writing a novel and up for hours on end trying to get it to be perfect. He’s a bit of a perfectionist!

Regardless, V is a kind, simple, but reclusive person. He has no problems with anyone, no fights, no drama…he’s just…V. I admire him though! Growing up together is a special memory for me and I can always count on him for anything! If you wanna know a bit about his writing, I recommend checking out one of his older novels, “The Dock Disappearances,” which is a mystery novel about people going missing under mysterious circumstances at a dock where its said a mysterious boat pulls in every seven days much to the mystery of the local residents. A good read, I promise!
