Dimension Protection Force
WHAT: The Dimension Protection Force, or the DPF, is the organization that is in charge of serving and protecting the dream world from any sort of threat. While they do not disclose the number of agents within their organization, it is known as the largest organization in the dream world.
The DPF works as a hand of the Council who rule over the dream world. The term "DPF" is an umbrella term as within the organization, there are many branches that serve different purposes. Each branch has its own top boss to which the agents within that branch respond to, but every agent is under the direction of the Director.
Branches within the DPF often work with one another in transferring information and other materials. This is because a branch may have additional information or materials to aid another branch or that branch is more capable of resolving an issue or inquiry. All branches are interconnected with one another under the same umbrella.
WHO: The Director of the DPF is the one who oversees the entire organization. It is a very important position as the Director can sometimes be seen as a leading figure in the dream world. Currently, the DPF is led by Nikolaos Ferekides; he has led the DPF since its creation many millennia ago. Director Ferekides was one of the big figures who helped bring order to the dream world in its early beginnings when the dream world was filled with chaos and instability. There have been rumors he's been planning to retire, but he has always denied those claims.
Director Ferekides oversees all branches within the DPF. The most important branches of the DPF consist of six agencies whose leaders are often dubbed as the "Big Six" of the DPF.
BIG SIX: This is the nickname given to the chiefs of the six most important agencies within the DPF that are mostly responsible for keeping order in the dream world. The "Big Six" are seen as high profile figures with powers and abilities of varying degrees. Once a month, the "Big Six" meet to discuss matters of the dream world and to discuss information about their respective agencies. Each chief must be nominated by the former chief and then confirmed by the Council of the dream world in a simple majority vote. Currently in the story, while all have been mentioned, we have personally met 4 out of the 6 "Big Six" chiefs.
Below are each of the "Big Six" agencies of the DPF, what they are, what they do, who leads them, and other facts.
