DFPS IN TALKS TO HOST TOURS IN THE BACKROOMS
By: Porter
The Dimension Forest and Parks Service is reportedly in talks to begin hosting tours in a particular area of the dream world: the Backrooms.
That's according to an internal memo that was shared with the Subliminal Tribune by DFPS chief Ahwi. The chief said that he has been discussing plans with the DPF to allow the agency to hold guided tours in the large and mysterious dimension starting sometime next month.
“We have been talking to the Dimension Protection Force in allowing us to conduct tours in the very illusive, but curious area of the Backrooms,” chief Ahwi told the Tribune, “We’re well aware that many people have dared to explore the dimension themselves, but many have failed or have not made it that far. We want to change that.”
With the new proposal by the DFPS, the agency is looking to expand its guided tours to an area of the dream world that, while not as big as the wilderness itself, is still a large size that many have not explored to the fullest. The Backrooms is notorious for its maze-like layout that has led to many explorers becoming lost and trapped within it. While it is not illegal to explore the dimension, the DPF has stated many times in the past that it is discouraged.
Still, with this recent proposal, the DFPS wants to shed light on the curious nature of the Backrooms all while keeping travelers safe and on the right path at all times.
“We have some idea of the layout of the Backrooms thanks to a few cartographers who have mapped it out over the past few years,” chief Ahwi explained, “Since the design of the Backrooms changes every few years or so, cartographers are routinely sent it to attempt to map out as much as they can. We want to use what has been drawn to aid us in giving guided tours there.”
Chief Ahwi stated that he hopes the DPF will grant the green light on this proposed project and hopes to begin having guided tours sometime next month.
“It would be very interesting to see where this goes. In a way, the Backrooms are sort of like the wilderness. It is vast, calm, empty, and there are definitely some points of interest in there too,” he said, “If all goes well, expect the DFPS to begin giving tours next month. Fingers crossed!”

CINEMA SEES RISE IN VISITORS
By: Oswald
The Cinema is seeing an uptick in visitors in recent days.
According to data provided by the DPF’s Dimension Patrol Unit, the agency has recorded a 26 percent increase in foot traffic over the past week in this dimension. While there is no event happening at the Cinema to mark this increase in foot traffic, the DPU is crediting this to merely summertime vacation.
“When the summer season arrives in the dream world, certain areas and dimensions see an uptick in foot traffic. Most notably, the wilderness of the dream world sees more visitors, but indoor areas do too,” DPU chief officer Matías told me, “One of these indoor areas is the Cinema dimension. Since people want to spend their summer vacation partaking in entertaining activities, they may head to the Cinema to spend time with family and friends watching films together. It’s pretty common to see every year.”
The Cinema has a total of 60 screening rooms each divided unevenly through 13 lobbies. Some lobbies may only have two screening rooms while another may have up to four. Films here are constantly playing with about an hour of intermission in between each showing.
“Films in each screening room are playing on a loop all day with an hour of intermission in between to allow for new customers to come for viewing,” chief Matías explained, “Sometimes one film finishes and people may go to another screening room to wait for another one to begin. They may do this all day or until they get tired, but it is a way people pass time in the summer.”
The chief officer says that no major incidents have occurred since seeing the uptick in traffic.
“Nothing to report from the Cinema. They do ask that people come ahead of time prior to a film’s screening so they can find the best seats,” he said, “You can check their website for official information and showtimes, and tickets of course.”
If interested in purchasing tickets online for a screening, you can visit the Cinema’s official website or go in person to purchase them as well.
Q/A: Ask Nate
Dear Nate, can we take tours across the dream world?
By: Vee Zitur
Hi Vee! Yes, you can take guided tours across the dream world! There’s an organization that provides tours to different parts of the dream world and different dimensions.
The Dimension Guided Tour Association has several posts across the dream world that allow anyone to partake in exploring the vast dream world. The DGTA has trained tour guides that often know all the “hotspots” of the dream world, areas that are pretty popular.
I will advise you that most posts offer tours on foot. Vehicles in the dream world are only allowed in certain dimensions like the District, so you’re likely going to be walking around. Don’t worry though! I’m aware that in recent years, the DGTA has gotten access to tools for teleporting to different areas. However, they’ve also raised their prices after this addition…
If you’re really up for it, you should try a tour! There are lots of dimensions to check out and you’ll also learn the history of the dream world along the way. But if you don’t feel like paying a lot, you can always count on this little dream demon to give you a tour himself! Not to brag, but I pretty much know almost allll the cool places~
Dear Nate, how much do we know about outer space?
By: Gal Actsee
Hi Gal! We're going out of this world for this question, huh? Outer space is a subject that's gotten popular in recent decades- I'd say since the late 1970s! For years prior to this, there were a lot of questions and theories about the worlds away from the real world. Luckily, recent knowledge has helped us understand a bit!
From what we know, information about outer space is limited to research that humans have conducted and published. We get those publications in the dream world and research the information that's made available to us. Outer space sounds pretty big! Outside of Earth, there are other planets in the "Solar System" as it's dubbed. However, there are other celestial bodies aside from planets too!
Asteroids, comets, nebulas, black holes, galaxies, stars, and so many other features make up the vast vacuum of space. At the moment, Earth is the only planet sustainable of life in the Solar System. Humans are still actively researching the cosmos and in fact, they know more about outer space than their own oceans. Wow!
On one hand, outer space sounds amazing! So many worlds out there to see some day, but on the other hand… It also sounds kind of terrifying. No one knows if humans are all alone in the universe or if they have neighbors. I think I'm better off here in the dream world! In any case, the Universe dimension is always open to visit if you want to get a taste of space. It's out of this world (not literally)!
