I must say I'm a bit embarrassed that you find me out here alone. Most people would want to spend their birthday alongside friends and family, but I am a bit different. I took the day off and find myself spending it alone to myself. I use this time to think and get my mind off pending matters. Don't worry though, I'll be with important people later this evening to celebrate nonetheless.

But since you're here I must tell you that I have reflected about the events of the past ten months or so. Operation Blackout seems to be on many people's minds still, but I may be an outlier when I say that Tsukanai's termination seems to be on my mind more than the blackout. I don't think people have truly grasped how serious and unprecedented that move was. We are in some very peculiar territory and if we walked on egg shells before then we're tip-toeing on them now.
