RAIN BEGINS TO TAPER OFF AS SPRING ENDS, SUMMER NEARS

The rain is indeed going away.

The weather across the dream world is beginning to improve. After widespread rain affected much of the observable dream world, conditions are beginning to improve and less areas are looking wet. Thunder continues to be heard across the dream world, but that too should begin to be heard less and less.

The weather service has acknowledged that the weather has begun to slowly transition from spring into summer. Spring is officially coming to an end with its final day being the 31st of May. The first day of summer is June 1 which is merely four days away. As the rain begins to taper off, conditions will become drier for much of the dream world, though summer is still considered a season with rain and thunderstorms.

“We’re expecting conditions across much of the dream world to improve as the transition of the season takes place,” DWPS senior meteorologist Cirrus told the Tribune, “Summer still has thunderstorms to look out for, but these are more sporadic in nature than widespread.”

As precipitation falls, the general temperatures in the dream world continue to rise. Summer is the hottest month on average in the dream world and it's slowly being felt. Temperatures are warmer in comparison to a month ago and they will continue to rise into the peak of summer come July.

“Temperatures are getting warmer in the dream world and will continue to get warmer going into summer,” Cirrus explained, “It’s normal for it to get warm and quite hot in the summer! It wouldn’t be summer if it didn’t!”

The DWPS acknowledged that its early Seasonal Outlook appears to forecast an average summer season.

“Our official Seasonal Outlook won’t drop until June 1, but it’s looking like it’ll be an average summer after all,” Cirrus told the Tribune, “This is pretty good news thus far and we hope our summer lovers are excited! Spring has come and gone but at least it went by with no major problems. Until the next one!”

DIA RELEASES INITIAL BATCH OF FINDINGS FROM BOX DIMENSION MISSION

The Dimension Investigation Agency has begun to release its findings into a mission into the Box dimension that chief detective Sylveran went on last April.

According to the first batch of findings, the chief detective was unsuccessful in attempting to find Lucid— who is the main subject that the chief was looking for in the first place— anywhere within the Box dimension. The DIA acknowledges that this was a “disappointing” finding from the mission, but it has not been let down in its mission to find Lucid.

Additionally, the findings did show some evidence that Lucid had been in some of the sub-dimensions of the Box dimension. Part of the report details that faint dream demon traces were found scattered through a few sub-dimensions. After collecting samples of these traces, they were passed along to the Dimension Forensic Crime Unit for analysis where the laboratory results came back positive for dream demon. Furthermore, they concluded that these samples were that of Lucid after running additional tests.

The DIA will release additional information from this mission but alludes that the pursuit of Lucid is not over. The agency is expected to begin a new mission sometime this summer to continue where it left off. While details of this mission are unavailable at the moment, the DIA will work on these details and make a formal announcement about it when the time comes.

Dear Nate, can you explain what the rural dream world is?

Hi Kuhn! You probably hear the phrase “rural dream world” often but wonder what the heck that is! It seems kind of odd to use that phrase, but it’s actually a real place. A pretty big place too! To understand what it is, you have to know what the District is, which I’m sure is another place you’ve heard mentioned before!

The District is where the dream world was born…literally! It’s an immensely large unnaturally made dimension that was built over where the dream world first began its birth. The grand majority of the dream world lives within the walls of the District. It’s divided into six wards with each ward broken up into different enclaves. The wards are inspired by architecture in the real world so if a human were to visit, it’d look pretty similar to the real world wherever you went. Don’t get me wrong though! There are touches of the dream world as far as the eye can see no matter the environment. I can’t stress how big the District is! Luckily, we have public transportation to get us to places pretty quickly, but it’s a different story in the rural dream world!

Speaking of, the rural dream world is basically everything and everyone else outside of the District walls! When you step foot outside of the District, that’s the rural dream world. It’s the dream world that’s been naturally made by human memories and nostalgia and where your typical dimensions are located. This area is by far MUCH bigger than the District…it’s huge! To get around the rural dream world, public transportation is more spotty. There are subway lines that go underground to transport people from place to place. Not many people live in the rural dream world in comparison to the District which is why it’s seemingly empty out there. Nonetheless, it’s an important part of our world!

Did all that make sense? The rural dream world is simply any place that is NOT within or is the District dimension itself. I’ve been around the rural dream world and met a lot of cool people in my days of patrolling dimensions. As I’ve said before, if you ever want a tour, just ask your favorite little red haired dream demon! (I’m talking about me, by the way, hehe.)
