SIGHTS SET ON BOX DIMENSION FOR INVESTIGATION

The Box dimension has eyes set on it.

Per a recent announcement by the chief detective of the Dimension Investigation Agency, the agency is expected to begin an investigation in the strange and wacky place known as the Box dimension. The reasoning behind this decision is that it is speculated that the place could be a spot where Lucid, the most wanted person in the dream world, may be currently hiding.

“We have reason to believe that Lucid may be hiding somewhere within the Box dimension, or at least, somewhere within the sub-dimensions of the Box dimension,” chief detective Sylveran stated, “If Lucid were to be evading authorities, it'd most likely be in a place no one would really venture to go into.”

While the chief detective is basing this on intuition, there has been some disagreement on whether or not to actually pursue such an investigation within the Box dimension. The Intelligence Affairs Agency, led by chief spy Kamaria, has stated that there is currently no kind of evidence or intelligence that exists that suggests Lucid has been hiding within this place.

“I understand why Sylveran is pursuing an investigation into the Box dimension but from what I have seen, there isn't much intel that suggests Lucid has been residing in there,” Kamaria told the Tribune, “Furthermore, it can be dangerous to venture in the Box dimension. We've seen in the past that the dimension can always ‘leak’ into the general dream world and when it does, things get rather strange.”

Still, the DIA is persistent in looking for Lucid within the Box dimension. The sub-dimensions of the main dimension can be quite difficult to venture as their abnormal behavior can be disorienting and can lead to dead ends. Nevertheless, it's likely the DIA will search through every nook and cranny within the Box dimension for evidence or traces of Lucid. 

“We'll begin this investigation into the Box dimension in the coming days,” chief Sylveran told the press, “I promise we'll have things under control, and if we're lucky, bring Lucid out in handcuffs.”

SEASONAL ALLERGIES AFFECTING MANY RESIDENTS

There’s a chance you know very well it’s spring in the dream world right now and not in a pleasant way.

According to the Dimension Disease Control and Protection agency, a branch under the Dimension Protection Force, seasonal allergies have been on the rise as the dream world transitioned from winter to spring. For many residents, it’s been a battle of the sniffles, itchy and watery eyes, sneezes, and other bothersome symptoms.

The rise in spring seasonal allergies— dubbed as “hay fever” (although not actually a fever)— is attributed to high levels of pollen that are emitted from trees during this time of year. When inhaled, these particulates can cause people to develop symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and more sinus-related problems. While hay fever is not contagious nor particularly dangerous, it can be quite bothersome for those who are allergic to pollen.

“We see a lot of cases of hay fever begin to pop up in the springtime with cases peaking in May and diminishing by July,” DDCP chief Ophelia told the Tribune, “There is no virus, bacteria, or other sort of pathogen that causes this so it’s not something that can be caught or spread unlike, let’s say, influenza.”

Chief Ophelia explained that allergies in general are caused when a person’s immune system incorrectly mistakes a substance entering the body as a threat. This can range from particulates in the air like pollen but also different kinds of foods such as peanuts or even other living organisms like bees.

“Allergies differ in terms of danger with some being benign and others being quite serious,” she explained, “In the case of pollen, it’s mostly harmless. I’ve seen a lot of people complain during this time of year, and believe me, I know it’s quite the bother.”

The DDCP chief said that there are ways to deal with hay fever which include taking antihistamines and avoiding the outdoors as much as possible.

“It’s best to take medication to relieve allergy symptoms related to hay fever such as antihistamines,” chief Ophelia said, “It’s also best to avoid being outside for too long where you can be exposed to such allergens. Take it slow and give yourself the right care.”

Dear Nate, what exactly is the Box dimension?

Hello Wehr! Gee, you’re asking ME that… To be honest, not much is really known about the Box dimension! Let me explain! The Box dimension is actually fairly new to the dream world. It was recently discovered within the last ten years or so, and information on it is not abundant. There are some things we know and don’t know about it. M3-0W and I ventured into it a few years ago, and boy was it a LOT!

First, the Box dimension itself is hard to access. In order to get to it, you have to go through various “sub” dimensions first. These sub-dimensions are believed to be manually made by the Box dimension itself, but we’re not sure why. One theory is that the Box dimension is sentient and tries its best to not let people get to the main hub. There are many dangers in these sub-dimensions and it’s not safe to go alone! Another theory is that there are just natural areas that got warped into the main dimension itself. If you hadn’t caught on already, the Box dimension is literally very, very weird.

Second, it’s not known why there are boxes in the Box dimension. There are a LOT of boxes in the main hub and floating around it. Maybe there’s presents…maybe there’s fortune…maybe there’s misfortune… No one’s attempted to open any of the boxes in fear of causing a Pandorian effect in the dream world. The Box dimension is weird, very! If there were ever another leak from this dimension, the dream world would get very, very, very strange and quite wacky! But the more we venture in, the more we’ll learn from it…I hope!
