DIA ANNOUNCES LARGE SCALE INVESTIGATION, TARGETS EVERYONE

Breaking news: Everyone is currently under investigation.

Yes, you read that correctly. Late last night, the Dimension Investigation Agency announced that they were initiating an investigation into Lucid’s possible links and connections within the dream world. This has been teased for several weeks now, but the agency has finally made it official, and there’s a catch.

Prior to the official announcement, there was much discrepancy into whether or not this possible investigation would be prejudiced against certain individuals and target those who may not have any sort of connection to Lucid in the past. The DIA acknowledged this flaw and decided that the best course of action was to simply put every dream world resident into this investigation. The hope with this was to avoid any wrongful targeting or perceived prejudice against any person.

Yet curiously, the investigation itself does not target the director of the Dimension Protection Force, Nikolaos Ferekides, the Council of the dream world, and of course, the DIA chief, Sylveran D. Angelus, either.

This investigation is now the largest investigation that has ever been initiated at the DIA since its creation. At the beginning of this year, the agency promised that it would attempt to crack down harder in its attempt to find and arrest Lucid. The scope of this was not known, but after last night’s announcement, it has become clear.

Still, while the detective agency promised to send out detectives to gather information, it’s still not clear how the investigation will proceed nor how exactly the plan will be put into motion. It’s important to note that the announcement comes just one day before the chief detective’s first official year in his position. It’s expected that chief Sylveran will make an official announcement sometime tomorrow to mark his first year in office in relation to this investigation.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG ACROSS THE DREAM WORLD

March is here and so is spring!

The dream world is looking much different than it did one month ago. With winter gone, it has ushered in a brand new season. It’s looking quite green just about everywhere!

On March 1, spring officially kicked into the dream world. The Dimension Weather Prediction Service released its Seasonal Outlook and called for a “Near-above Average” spring season. They acknowledge that nothing out of the ordinary should occur, but there’s a chance that some areas will be warmer than normal with an increased probability of severe weather toward the mid-to-late part of the season.

 “Spring has arrived and we’re forecasting it to be not so average,” DWPS senior meteorologist Cirrus told me, “We think that it’ll definitely feel like spring this year, but some areas may be a bit warmer when compared to other spring seasons. Also, we forecast that we may see a bit more severe weather later on in the season in some areas, but not widespread.”

With spring arriving, some residents are quite content.

“I love seeing green everywhere! It’s nice to see green trees and grass again after a very snowy winter,” Laika, a resident in the rural dream world, told me, “Snow is fun but it gets tiring after a while. Nice to see green again!”

“I love seeing flowers bloom and trees get new leaves after a snowy winter,” Vixy, a resident in the District said to me, “I love the colors that spring has. It’s always nice to see nature in the dream world come to life in the spring.”

Dear Nate, how do people quickly get from place to place in the District?

Hi Zubb! You're probably wondering just how we even get around the District in a fast manner. You could take the bus, take a taxi, or even drive, but that's associated more with closer travel. Sometimes you need to go from point A to point B fast! The District has its own underground subway system and it's a very complex and large system! The subway system has many tunnels that lead to various stations located in various points underneath enclaves of the District. The trains on these tracks are very fast! They are able to go at high speeds and get people from one enclave to another in no time! Some travel times may be as high as an hour or two, but they are never more than two hours long. 

Some question why these trains weren't built like monorails on the surface, but the reasoning lies with the scenery. Architects decided against building a surface monorail as they believed it would clutter the District skyline. If it was kept underground, then all those tracks would be out of sight and out of mind! Plus, underground subways are kind of the thing. If you get it, you get it!

The underground subways are generally safe. Officers of the DPU are also out on constant patrol to make sure everyone is safe. The system itself is also monitored for any problems so you don't have to worry about anything bad happening! People are always on train cars at any time of day, but sometimes you might find yourself in a rather empty setting with very few people. I kind of like these more as sometimes it can get quite tight in there during rush hour!

Many residents of the District prefer to take the underground subway to get to their destinations, but that doesn't mean the surface is empty of life! You'll still see a lot of people walking, taking a taxi, bus or driving on the streets above! I myself prefer to take the subway whenever I have to travel to and from work or to visit other friends when I have time! If you're up for it, I saved you a seat right next to me!
