DREAM WORLD LOOKS EXTRA SPOOKY AHEAD OF HALLOWEEN

If you’ve been out in the dream world as of late, you’ll likely notice that it’s looking extra spooky out there.

As Halloween approaches, areas across the dream world have begun to be decorated with various Halloween paraphernalia causing the atmosphere to become more “frightening” in nature. With jack-o-lanterns, skeletons, ghosts, and more decorations galore, the dream world looks about set to observe Halloween.

“It’s my favorite time of year! I love seeing the dimensions of the dream world with low light and ghoulish decorations,” Thomas, a resident in the rural dream world, told me, “I like taking walks through the Neighborhood. It’s always a treat!”

Alongside the decorations, many indoor areas have dimmed or completely switched off their lights to better accommodate the atmosphere. This has made some residents require flashlights or lanterns.

“I’m not really used to darker rooms in the dream world so this is pretty eerie,” Loretta, a resident at the Apartments told me, “It’s pretty much that time of year where you really should have a flashlight on you when you’re going out. It’s dark and foggy!”

The Dimension Weather Prediction Service issued a “Rolling Fog Advisory” as a result of denser than normal fog “rolling” through the outdoors of the dream world. This has also caused low visibility in the dream world.

“Rolling fog is causing poor visibility conditions across the dream world in a majority of outdoor areas,” DWPS senior meteorologist Neige told me, “Not that it’s dangerous, but it could make travel hazardous if you can’t see ahead of you. Be sure to be aware of your surroundings and bring a flashlight. Try not to travel alone and just be careful.”

FRIGHTS AND SIGHTS TO SEE DURING THE HALLOWEEN SEASON

With Halloween around the corner, there are various sights and frights to see around the dream world. Much of this will only be available to check out during this particular season, so we here at the Tribune compiled up a list of notable places to visit if you feel like checking the festivities out!

The Neighborhood: To start off, there’s nothing wrong with checking out this dimension if you’re looking for some good old Trick-or-Treat fun. Many of the residents here are giving out treats, but we warned! You may also receive a trick or two!

The Cinema: Per usual, the Cinema is screening seasonal films. If you’re looking for horror, thrillers, suspense, or family-related Halloween films, you will most likely find them here! Be sure to check their website for screening times and additional information!

The Parlor: Looking for a bite? So are vampires, but the Parlor is serving up a unique menu. Alongside pizza, you may also find mock dishes like eyeball soup, pumpkin pie, and perhaps other peculiar dishes…

The Stage: The annual play of “It’s a Great Pumpkin” is being shown at the Stage once more! This family-friendly play is a take on the actual Peanuts universe television episode and it’s worth staying for the whole thing!

The Cafe: The famed Cafe is serving up tricks and treats for Halloween. Their menu is the same, but if you ask for the “trick-or-treat” you will randomly get a treat or a trick! It’s truly the flip of a morph as to what you’ll get.

The Gallery: If you want to go look at some terrifying art, the Gallery is showcasing various pieces of horror art and media. You may need a flashlight if going to visit and it may not be suitable for younger audiences.

Hello Skarr! What? Me? Having fears? Psh…please…this necromancer isn’t afraid of anything! There’s nothing in the whole wide dream world that scares me! Spiders? Cute! The dark? Awesome! Clowns? Funny! Zombies? Bring it on!! Nah, Almoral isn’t afraid of anything, ya hear me?? Hehehe, ah, except maybe Lucid… Huh? No you don’t get it! Lucid can be scary if he gets mad! I…I don’t ever want to make Lucid mad… That’s why I want to be on Lucid’s good side! Only Lucid scares me, but thank goodness he doesn’t like to get mad anyway!

Dear Almoral, what’s your favorite dimension?

Hello Fay! There’s no other better dimension than the Market! I always like going to the Market because they have lots of different stalls there that sell different things! It’s always a lot of fun looking at all the interesting things they have there- I like getting some of my skulls there! I’m practically a regular there at this point and whenever they see me, they get so excited to see me there (at least, I hope that’s excitement…)! All the little trinkets, gadgets, potions, and other things are so much fun to look at, and I can often find things I need here. Huh? Why yes, I do make sure to pay for them! Hehehe….well, some of them at least…but shh let this be our secret~

Dear Almoral, do you plan on living forever?

Hello Eva! Gee, that’s a tough question! I do plan on living a long life, but I don’t know about forever. I take special potions and elixirs to stay looking young and handsome, of course, but at some point, I’m going to have to accept the fact that I have to keep growing up. I’m not sure how long my life will be, but I think it’ll be long enough to see something like Lucid come back to me or maybe, what if, it’s long enough for me to see myself start a family or something?! That’d be so awesome! I’m not immortal, but I will do everything I can to live a long, fun and cool life!

Dear Almoral, what kind of ghosts are there?

Hello Fann! You’d be surprised at how many kinds of ghosts there are! Some types are more famous or perhaps infamous than others. Let’s see… Specters are basically the most common type of ghost. These are simply human spirits who are basically neutral- neither good or bad- they just vibe! You may have also heard about the poltergeists…and wow, they are a LOT to handle! They are VERY active and like to mess a lot with real people- particularly in the real world. There’s also banshees and oh boy, you’ll definitely HEAR them! Banshees scream and cry and are overall pretty loud. Not the pleasant type of ghost to be around to be honest… Shades are ghosts who are pretty quiet and shy and don’t really mean harm. I think they are actually pretty sad in emotions and tend to avoid people for the most part. The type of ghost a person becomes depends on their overall personality and character when they were alive. If you were a troublemaker, you’d probably be a poltergeist and if you were a decent person, you’d probably be a specter. But remember- these only apply for humans! I WISH it applied to us!
