OVER ONE HUNDRED APPLY TO LATE, DIA REPORTS

The Dimension Investigation Agency is reporting that over one hundred human residents have applied to join the Lucid Apprehension Task Enforcement force.

This comes after the task force was created about two weeks ago that is intended to investigate any and all matters into Lucid’s ongoing persecution. The agency said that with this many human residents applying to LATE, it suggests there is energy to bring Lucid to justice.

“This is a great sign of things to come. It’s fantastic that there is interest in joining LATE,” DIA spokesperson Kristopher Levy said in a press conference on Wednesday, “There’s a good amount of energy out there. I’d say the chief is surprised but quite content.”

When asked about if anyone has been accepted, Levy told the press that so far, not yet, but they expect to begin the process soon.

“We are currently evaluating all applications and reviewing them to see who would be the best fit to join LATE,” Levy explained, “Any person who we deem to be fit should receive a response back from the DIA for an interview to continue the process. We have some great people so far!”

LATE is currently still “under construction” but the agency expects it to be fully running by the end of the month.

“You can expect LATE to have its first members soon and have the task force set up by the end of this month,” Levy told the press, “Per usual, please refer to the DIA webpage for official news and announcements. We can’t wait to see what all of our applicants have to offer.”

CAL’S MAZE TO OPEN AGAIN SOON

Cal’s infamous maze of corn appears like it will be returning soon.

That’s according to activity at the Patch dimension. Cal, the farmer who owns the land surrounding the area, has been seen in and out of his maze crop lately prompting questions and rumors. The reclusive farmer has long kept people out of his maze except for last year when he finally opened it up to the public.

It seems as if this year will also feature a public opening of this maze.

“We tried talking to Cal about it but he seemed too busy to answer questions,” Raquel, a visitor to the Patch, told me, “He was going in and out of his crops seemingly occupied with something.”

“If Cal’s maze is really coming back, I’ll definitely wanna go in!” Zaiten, a visitor to the Patch, told me, “I didn’t go in last year because I wasn’t interested, but now this kind of piqued my curiosity.”

For many years, Cal’s maze has been the subject of various rumors. Some have said he is hiding something within the maze while others say there’s a big reward at the end. Whatever the case, it appears as if Cal’s maze of corn will open up again to the public.

While the Tribune cannot confirm the date, it may be as soon as next week.

“Cal opened his maze up last year in mid-September and we’re approaching that period soon,” Milidia, a visitor to the Patch, told me, “It might just come next week. I’m excited.”

Dear Nate, are all dimensions open to the public?

Hiya Vizzy! Exploring the dream world is pretty cool and all but you might not know that not all areas in the dream world are open to the public. While dimensions and areas can be visited, there are a few that are closed off either purposefully or on their own for a few reasons.

Dimensions often get designated a classification based on its behavior, history, and other factors. A “regular” dimension is simply your ordinary dimension you can easily find while exploring the dream world. A “seasonal” dimension is a dimension that only appears during certain times of the year. This might be a holiday related area or seasonal area like the Patch appearing during autumn. A “forbidden” dimension is a dimension that has been closed off to the public entirely! The DPF reserves the right to close off any dimension at any time and these may either temporarily or permanently become forbidden. But why is that?

In most cases, dimensions with ongoing severe weather can be closed off for safety reasons. This can also happen if there is an active crime scene or something else of significance. In other cases, a dimension or area that is tied to tragedy, either from the dream world or the real world, will be closed off entirely to prevent people from disturbing the area. The DPF believes that these areas carry a heavy burden of grief and suffering so they are closed off to preserve whatever memories may be attached to it so they are not disturbed. Crossing into these areas without permission is illegal and there are plenty of patrol officers guarding these areas to prevent anyone from getting in.

Honestly, I’m not really one to go visiting these types of places. I’m not one to really go snooping around and would rather stick to my usual routes and duties! Besides, there’s a lot of fun and cool dimensions that are there to visit with fun things to see and do! If you ever want a fun tour of the dream world, I can certainly give you such a tour! It’ll be fun!

Dear Nate, what’s it like working at the IAA?

Hey Wutzit! The Intelligence Affairs Agency to me seemed very mysterious at first because of what they do. I worked in the DIA, the DPU, back to the DIA, and then I got switched to IAA last year. They handle a lot of intelligence related matters like spy work. But…what’s it like, you ask?

Honestly, it’s not that bad! There are various positions in the IAA that you could work at. The most popular one nowadays is to work in the cyber unit here. The cyber unit deals with internet related spy work, you know, modern technology. Since the incorporation of the internet here in the dream world, the IAA has moved its matters to include online matters. Employees in this unit are often monitoring the internet for threats against the dream world, and of course, threats against people and the general public. It’s neat work but not my cup of tea…

I work as an intelligence officer! Intelligence officers go out in the field undercover to gather important intel about any possible threats that could arise in the dream world. You will likely encounter an intelligence officer at some point in your dream world journeys, but you may not even know it! They appear like ordinary residents with nothing particularly outstanding about themselves. They will secretly gather information and later bring it back to the IAA for analysis and safekeeping. This line of work isn’t necessarily dangerous but some cases might involve infiltrating certain bad groups and that carries a big risk! Since I’m relatively new, my cases aren’t like this and are less dangerous. They’re not too bad actually!

Lastly, IAA chief Kamaria is pretty nice! She is very understanding and patient with any questions and concerns that come about. I have heard a lot of rumors about her such as the rumor that she knows more about people than she lets on but no one’s ever confirmed it. If so, she keeps a lot of it to herself! It makes you wonder just what she truly knows about you and just how much of it too. I guess it’s best to be on her good side but honestly, if you’ve never done anything wrong, then don’t worry about what she knows about you! …I think.
